Liars Dice
Each player rolls a set of dice under cover. Players then bid on how many of a certain face value exist across all dice in play — and call out when they think someone is bluffing. Combines probability, psychology, and nerve.
How to Play
- 1
Each player gets 5 dice and a cup to roll and conceal them under.
- 2
Everyone rolls secretly and looks at their own dice without showing others.
- 3
The first player makes a bid: a quantity and a face value (e.g. 'Three 4s'), claiming that many of that number exist across all players' dice combined.
- 4
Going clockwise, each player must either raise the bid (higher quantity, or same quantity with higher face value) or challenge the previous bid by calling 'Liar!'
- 5
When a challenge is called, everyone reveals their dice. Count how many of the bid face value actually exist.
- 6
If the bid was valid (enough dice show that value), the challenger loses a die. If the bid was false, the bidder loses a die.
- 7
Players with no dice left are out. Last player with dice wins.
